Day 1 - Board Royal Clipper - Rome

If you have the time, let us book you a couple of nights in Rome before your Royal Clipper voyage, and explore one of the world’s most historic cities. On day 1, transfer to the port of Civitavecchia where Royal Clipper will be moored, waiting to whisk you away on a spectacular journey.

Day 2 - Ponza

The largest in a pretty archipelago known as the Pontine Islands, disembark and discover one of the last remaining places in Italy that is unspoiled by tourism. Royal Clipper will remain in the harbour as you explore the narrow streets, soaking up the laid back Italian charm. Enjoy traditional ice cream in the sunshine and enjoy views of the colourful fishing boats tethered in the harbour.

Day 3 - Sorrento with an evening visit to Capri

Sorrento with an evening visit to Capri

The well-known town of Sorrento is famous for producing limoncello, a delicious lemon-flavoured liqueur. Sample some as you take in the spectacular panoramas across the Bay of Naples and out towards Capri where you will sail to this evening. When Royal Clipper arrives at Capri, you will be astounded by the level of style and beauty the island possesses. Watch the sunset from one of the many trattorias before returning to Royal Clipper.

Day 4 - Amalfi

The Amalfi coast is one of the most stunning coastlines in the world. Watch from the outside deck of Royal Clipper as views of sheer cliffs pass by. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Amalfi town itself is small but delightful, and there are plenty of little shops and restaurants where you can while away your hours.

Day 5 - Taormina, Sicily

Taormina, Sicily

One of the main attractions of Taormina is its rich history and well preserved ruins. As Royal Clipper approaches the harbour, take in the spectacular views of this attractive town, and look out for Mount Etna looming in the distance. Taormina has some lovely sandy beaches that are ideal for sunbathing, and the shallow waters are perfect for swimming.

Day 6 - Lipari, Aeolian Islands

Today Royal Clipper navigates the scenic Aeolian Islands, docking at the largest island of Lipari. Disembark and explore the historic town, and take a stroll up to the impressive castle that overlooks the bay. Later in the day, Royal Clipper sets sail once more, passing by the fascinating Stromboli volcano which still remains active today.

Day 7 - At Sea

At Sea

With the wind in her sails, Royal Clipper makes the return voyage to Rome. Relax on the outdoor deck, take a dip in the swimming pools, and enjoy drinks and snacks from the bar. Gaze out at the open water as Royal Clipper races across the sea, and reflect on the places you have visited on this holiday.

Day 8 - Departure

Arriving back into Civitavecchia, transfer to the airport or head into Rome for additional nights exploring Italy’s capital.
