Today Star Clipper arrives at a location that is nothing like you would expect from Turkey. Where the Dalyan River enters the sea, a stunning lake exists which is home to a plethora of aquatic life. Day 6 - Sail Aboard Star Clipper to Santorini

Sail Aboard Star Clipper to Santorini

The curious crescent shape of this pretty Greek Island and its shimmering sheltered lagoon were created during a violent volcanic eruption around 3600 years ago. As Star Clipper sails into the lagoon you will see the island’s capital, Fira, perched atop the precipitous cliffs that rise from the turquoise waters. Santorini is by far one of the most scenic islands you will visit during this voyage.

Day 7 - Hydra, Greece

Once an important site for maritime commerce, Hydra has clung onto its historical charm, and there are no motorised vehicles allowed on the island. The only form of transport is by donkey. The Monastery of Ilias is well worth a visit when Star Clipper docks here - either take the short walk to the monastery or alternatively, take an entertaining ride on a donkey.
